InVilla Spa brings foot massage and reflexology to villas and homes in six areas of Bali. Foot massage and reflexology are the same hour with a different emphasis: one for tired feet and calves, the other for the pressure points on the sole; at your villa both happen wherever you are already sitting. No table, no undressing, and the easiest treatment to add to another. See all massage at home.

When to book a foot massage

After a day on your feet

The rice terraces, the temples, the markets of Ubud, the walk down to Bingin and back up. An hour on the feet and calves puts it right.

After the flight

For heavy legs after a long flight, the gentler choice is lymphatic drainage; for feet that simply ache, this is the one.

While the others have a full massage

Families and groups often book one full-body massage and one foot massage at the same hour: same therapists arriving together, one guest on the lounger.

What foot massage and reflexology involve

A foot massage works the muscles of the feet, ankles and calves with oil, firm thumbs and long strokes. Reflexology adds sustained pressure on specific points of the sole, mapped to the rest of the body, and a slower rhythm. Tell your therapist which you prefer, or let her mix the two; most sessions end with ten minutes on the calves. Pressure: light, medium, firm or deep, your call.

A foot massage at your villa

No table needed. Your therapist brings a stool, towels and oil, and works wherever you are comfortable: a pool lounger, an armchair, the daybed on the terrace. A bowl of warm water first, sixty minutes of work, then socks or sandals and nothing else to do. If you booked it with a Balinese or deep tissue massage, the foot work is the last half hour of the session.

Questions about foot massage at home

What is the difference between a foot massage and reflexology?
A foot massage works the muscles of the feet and lower legs with oil and firm strokes; reflexology adds pressure on specific points of the sole and a slower rhythm. At your villa either takes 60 minutes and happens on a lounger, a chair or the daybed. Say which you prefer when you book, or ask your therapist to mix the two.
How long is a session?
Sixty minutes on its own, which covers both feet and the calves properly. As an add-on to a Balinese or deep tissue massage it is the last thirty minutes of a 90-minute booking. Tell us "plus feet" when you book and we plan the time accordingly.
Can I have it by the pool?
Yes: a lounger in the shade by the pool is the best spot for it. It needs to be out of the wind and out of the direct sun; on a hot afternoon a fan or the terrace daybed is kinder than the pool deck. Your therapist brings a stool, towels and oil, so the pool side needs nothing else.
